Tangram Puzzle Board

Drag and rotate the seven tangram pieces to fill a square or triangle silhouette, then check how much of the outline you covered

Drag a piece to move it; select one and use the rotate buttons. Rotating works in 15° steps, which is enough for every classic tangram figure.

About the seven pieces

A tangram is cut from one square into two large triangles, one medium triangle, two small triangles, one square and one parallelogram. Their areas are fixed fractions of the original square, which is why some figures are impossible to fill exactly. The coverage check samples a grid of points across the outline, so it measures how much of the target is covered rather than proving a mathematically exact fit.

Tip: the two large triangles together make exactly half the square. Place them first, then fill the remaining wedge with the smaller pieces.
